Free Summer Lessons
Partnering with the PRIZM Ensemble, I offer two months of free French horn lessons to any middle school student in Memphis, Tennessee who has never had lessons before. There is no requirement to have played before or read music: beginners are more than welcome! If you do not have access to an instrument through your school, we can help find you an instrument to use.
Why free lessons on French horn?
Because the horn is an unusual and difficult instrument, colleges tend to give extra scholarships to horn players. Programs such as youth orchestras and summer camps will also offer more scholarships to horn players. The goal with free lessons is to give students more opportunities down the road.
Band directors are often at loss for how to teach horn and can't take the time to teach it well.
Band is more fun when you can participate and do well!

I also will teach at Boys and Girls clubs as well as community centers close to where people sign up.
